Artistic license was used to draw this plane, it looks like an Aircobra but the engine should be in back of the pilot. All ads had to be cleared with the War Department before they were printed so perhaps they didn't want to give away any secrets? The blank streets below the aircraft would soon be filled with houses in the housing and baby boom of the 1950's. Looking at these ads sixty years later gives you a sense of superiority, an almost God like sense of perspective on the world, you look down upon the scene and know what's going to happen to the puny car and truck drivers below.
