Like the Boes ad on the previous page, this ad makes use of a two ink color process using red and black to achieve a cheaper printing alternative to full color. This appears to be a Bell P-39 Aircobra, a plane that didn't see as much service with our forces as the other fighters during the war but in March of 1943, the advertiser couldn't know that. The P-63 Kingcobra didn't start production until October of that year. Neither plane was known as "the slugger" as far as I can see.
