"I was glad to see the sun come out during the practice day of the May 2004 Commemorative Air Force show in Red Wing.  I was leaving for Kuwait the next day.  It was raining, with low ceilings when I boarded the airliner, so thoughts of the airshow gave way to pondering the adventures that awaited me over the next few months.  I'm at a loss for words to express how I felt when I logged into my email four days later and learned of the tragedy."
