So, I had to content myself with the second best thing-- pilot stories! Our host, Sam Graves, explained the significance of the hunk of metal sitting in a corner of his hangar to Doug Rozendaal on the left and Chad Bosworth on the right. It was once a Beech AT-10 Witchita. Sam's words-- "My dad hauled it out of the junk pile to the house when my brothers and I were kids. We flew that thing around the world several times and "bailed" out of it after being shot down on more than one occasion. What better toy could a kid have to play with while growing up than an aircraft cockpit.  At the time, I just didn't know it was so rare. That and growing up across the road from the airport got me started in aviation." He and Bosworth hope to restore the aircraft to flying status one day.
