As a boy, I would sometimes travel the back roads of Iowa with my father as he called on rural customers. We both loved to catch a glimpse of a crop duster working the fields. It seemed to me to be this epic struggle of gravity. The plane would reach the end of a field and soar up, Up, UP. . . only to be dragged back down the other way. It would skim below the rise of a hill-- as if to land, and then up, up, up again!
