Airship Captain, Katharine Board, greeted me and my assistant/son, Riley, (the luckiest boy in the world), as we approached the blimp. I had to ask, "So how did you get to be an airship pilot?"
"By being in the right place at the right time." was her reply. Board hails from England and is one of a small club- there are more astronauts than blimp flyers.

Like a whale in the
ocean, the blimp's huge
shape bobs easily in the
light breeze. It pivots
without warning in a 360
degree arc around its mast.
We were told, "Never turn your
back on a blimp."
