Pilot Mike Henningsen bought his big, beautiful, airplane in 2003. The plane is named for the various planes, all named Big Beautiful Doll, flown by WWII ace Col. John Landers. There was more than one BBD during WWII so it is appropriate that there is more than one now as well, the other flies the skies over Europe.
